Homework 1 -- Translating ANY PARAGARGH of the following news story into English

To Joan,
1. "Many famine people in North Korea is a poblic secret," sounds like Chinese English.
a. It is literally a public secret that North Korea is having a serious famine problem.
b. The fact that North Korea is having (suffering) famine problem has been a public secret.
2. "...was recruited from Germany to assist with the famine for North Korea." -- wording problems in it.
a. offered his help assisting North Korea in solving its famine problem. 原文聽起來像:幫助北韓的饑荒
b. the fact was that North Korea did not actually "recruit" him -- watch the word you use.
3. Use "present tense" in this kind of news story instead of "past tense."
4. Can you imagine what the secret is for the German elder to solve the famine problem?
